Interests: Above all...my Lord, then in second place is my HUSBAND Geoff. In no specific order after this comes reading, knitting, gulping coffee, sipping tea, my kitty Simon, laughing, anything Savannah, watching sunsets, feeling sand between my toes, sleeping, swinging, singing, stirfry and sandals. I like poetry, all sorts of music, church and all the cool people there, hanging out with awesome friends(Linds), art, watching TLC, shopping, and basically anything that makes me feel alive! Have you ever seen the spanish moss hanging from trees in Savannah? That's pretty cool too.

Another Month, Another Update

Time for my monthly update (it's still November for one more day).

Geoff and I are in the process of buying a house.  It's pretty sweet.  We close in a little over 2 weeks hopefully!  Go here to see pics of it, if you'd like.  Apologies for the mass amount of pictures in advance...I like my house!

Saturday we are leaving for a much needed vacation to Cancun.  We will be gone for a week, and it will be thoroughly enjoyed.  My pastiness will hopefully be a little less evident when we return.  The kitties are staying in a kitty condo for the week...we'll see how they do!  Anyone have any good book suggestions to read on the beach?

Due to the fact that we're going on vacation and buying a house, all in the same month...we will not have money to buy Christmas presents.  I'm a bit bummed about this, and need some good ideas for really inexpensive gifts, if anyone has any!

We just finished our VLI quarter on Monday.  I wish I had had more time to study, but I felt like I did as much preparing as I could without going insane.  Next semester we'll be writing sermons every week...woah!

I've also been feeling a lot better the past few months.  I started sleeping with a dental sleep retainer which keeps me from having apnea episodes all night and I've been sleeping SO MUCH BETTER.  I'm checking this one off in the books as a miracle, people.  I never thought it would help me this much.  Praise God!

And I'm out

Latest Life List

1.  Geoff and I are pre-approved for a mortgage loan.

2.  We're looking at houses tonight in Bardstown!  And hopefully putting in an offer on one in the next few weeks.

3.  Alice learned how to flush the toilet...haha.  fyi: she's a cat for those who don't know.

4.  We bought a really nice futon for guests to sleep on.

5.  Simon peed on it so we have to get the mattress replaced; thank goodness for warranties!

6.  VLI exam is in less than two weeks and I have to read 80 pages in OT survey and Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy before then...not to mention actually studying the 60 pages of notes I have!

7.  Chris Tomlin's concert was really good...I like his new CD.

8.  I'm considering applying for a full-time photography position at a studio in Bardstown.  The listing says "will train the right person"...is that me??

9.  I finished my photography class online and definitely learned a lot!  Still haven't had time to go out and take many pics though because of...hectic life I guess.

10.  We're praying for the Bardstown church plant to happen very soon.  We're asking God for a few families from Louisville and hopefully a few friends to relocate down here as well!

11.  Apparently I'm the next in line in the Pant's Party wives to get pregnant...how many months do you give me?

Here's some pics I took at a park down here while my parents were visiting.  I didn't feel like taking pics of people, hence the scenery and animals.

I'm loving my online photography class...learning a lot.  Unfortunately I don't have much time to go out and take pictures so...my cats are about the only interesting subjects around.  I'm realizing I really like black and white or sepia photography much more than color.  Wierd, I know...but its so much easier for me to get the results I'm looking for without the distraction of color.  Aren't they cute?

Time for a hair vote again!

#1

#2

#3

Time for a much needed haircut!  Which would look best on me??  I've got a lot of blond right now but I'm going back to the brown similar to pic #3 for fall/winter.

Can I just say haircuts and coloring are rediculously expensive down here?  It would literally be cheaper for me to drive all the way to NW Ohio, get my hair done, and drive back including gas.  Ahh the city life.  I've got connections thank goodness.  I'm getting my hair done for free, minus supplies...as opposed to $130.  What is this world coming to...when a hairdresser makes more money that a schoolteacher?
